In the midst of scheming bathrooms for my new project I thought it was about time to get some finished pics of this burgundy beauty onto the grid!

The brief (from me to me) was hotel luxury combined with everyday practicality. Every detail was considered: from small things like tiled skirting and placing the rinser & shower controls at the open end of the bath, to major aspects like changing the layout so that the toilet isn’t the first thing you see as you walk in ❌.

The revised floorplan also allowed us to make the most of the window, now framed beautifully by the tiles and doubling as a natural shower shelf.

The result: a bold, relaxing and functional space - energising in the morning and a soothing retreat by evening. Swipe along to see a truly breathtaking video of the before and some of the planning process.

I am still on the hunt for the perfect vintage cabinet to go above the toilet but for now it’s the ideal spot for some art to perch before it finally makes it to the wall.

2026 and we are back in the office! 💥

Where better to get back to work than this serene study at Project Highgate. As is the case for most of us, my client spends a fair amount of time in here, so it was a priority for me to make this space inviting and uplifting for her.

This room is nearly unrecognisable from where we started (see the last pic!), a typical box room with very little going apart from the charming view! We transformed it with a fresh palette and by designing a bespoke wrap around desk, built in bookcases, cabinets, and a full height built in wardrobe, to stash extra coats and linens.

2026 and we are back in the office! 💥

Where better to get back to work than this serene study at Project Highgate. As is the case for most of us, my client spends a fair amount of time in here, so it was a priority for me to make this space inviting and uplifting for her.

We leant into the light in this south west facing reception room with sky blue walls, layered with accents of yellow, brown and green, keeping it bright and airy while still delivering character and warmth.

A break from the usual content as I recently went to Rye for the day and couldn’t believe the number of wonderful independent shops - including so many dedicated to homewares 🤤

There were tonnes of unique, artisanal pieces for the home, with a particular lean to textiles, antiques and pottery. Obviously it’s Christmas shopping heaven as everything is nestled between cobbled streets and little taverns with roaring fires.

I’m sure this is no secret to seasoned Southerners but it also happens to be a very quick train from London, giving you countryside vibes without a car. I’ve just booked to go back for a few days around Christmas so I can really take my time shopping and even go to the beach!

Ok kidding, but it’s a good place to start! Here’s a little bit about how I created this bathroom 😌

I started with the @capietra terrazzo backsplash (obsessed!) but knew I wanted something more uniform for the main tile, to make an impact but still feel relaxing. That’s when I visited @clayandrock and found these wonderful deep burgundy tiles.

I’ll admit I was a little hesitant at first, as they can look almost black in low light and they were going to cover around half of the room. But they reflect so many gorgeous tones when the sunlight hits so I couldn’t get the idea out of my head!

To balance their depth, I made sure the room had plenty of layered lighting, and paired them with plaster-pink paint on the walls & ceiling, and a warm oak vanity. The room is also south-facing, so on sunny days, it gets a real glow on!

The fixtures are all @abiinteriors_uk and our lovely builders @titan__construction brought the vision to life!

We are still waiting on new windows and a vanity mirror, but I couldn’t resist sharing some close-ups of this transformation! Check out my Highams Park highlights to see the ‘before’ to see just how far this space has come 😱

Gorgeous gorgeous Gilmerton House. In honour of my first wedding anniversary last week I wanted to share some pictures of this incredible place. A stunning Georgian mansion in the East Lothian countryside where we had the pleasure of hosting our wedding, and making ourselves at home for the weekend 🧡

As soon as I entered the orange reception room with the roaring fire I knew it was special. So comfortable and inviting, with plenty of character and not a bit stuffy. It completely spoke to my obsession with colour, pattern and period architecture 🤌🏼

We immediately cancelled the rest of our venue visits and started figuring out how to make it work!

Since we’re on the topic I couldn’t resist sneaking in a few wedding photos to give the full effect! As you’ll see we really tried to work with the rich backdrop when creating our colour scheme 🧡🩷💙

Such a treat to get up close to the work of these incredible designers!

A little dump of Project Highams Park. The combo of reno x moving house x work has left me just a tad time poor but thought it was about time I showed some progress pics!!

Bathroom tiling looking glorious, painting coming along, floors sanded (partly by yours truly - the first and last DIY contribution 😅) and fixtures going up all over the place.

It’s been a week since our fabulous builders @titan__construction moved in, and we have covered a lot of ground!!

The house has ‘great bones’ ie not crumbling and a good layout.. but the previous owner was there for around 60 years 🥹 and seemed to have a penchant for DIY (even the electrics 😬) so it needs a serious refresh before we move in. With less than 4 weeks between completion and the end of our rental lease, we are under a little bit of pressure and I can see the end of June being a tad chaotic 😆

BUT we did a *lot* of planning while the house sale was progressing over the last few months, so we were ready with things like lighting and electrical plans as well as a clear design direction. It’s amazing to see that starting to pay off and it’s meant we have (mostly) been ready for the builders questions as well as being able to pivot on the fly.

The next week is mostly about plastering and finalising some of the big decisions (hi new windows) but we will also get to say goodbye to old bathroom and that mad fireplace ! Can’t wait to see what’s under there 🤪

A mini tour of the residential project I’m working on in Crouch End/Alexandra Palace and a deep dive on the master suite. The build is about half way through (see my highlights for progress so far!) so it’s really taking shape now and very exciting to see !

Lots of decisions still being made and today we wanted to nail down (not literally) the walk-in wardrobe and en suite layout with the clients.

It’s a hard working space which needs to feel as comfortable as it is functional so there have been a few iterations. But I think we’re there now - who can say no to a bath with a view!? 🛁

The architecture, materials (so much pink clay 💘) patterns and palette had my mind racing and I will undoubtedly be referencing them in design schemes for years to come.

We stayed in the most serene and comfortable @riad_les_yeux_bleus which was the perfect antidote to the medina madness, which I’ve tried to showcase a little bit as it was just heavenly.

I loved this busy, dusty city, filled with super welcoming people and a VERY strong tile game. There was endless inspiration and I’ll be honest endless shopping from me. I did well to only come away with a wall plate, a rug, and some ceramic cups.

The architecture, materials (so much pink clay 💘) patterns and palette had my mind racing and I will undoubtedly be referencing them in design schemes for years to come.

We stayed in the most serene and comfortable @riad_les_yeux_bleus which was the perfect antidote to the medina madness, which I’ve tried to showcase a little bit as it was just heavenly.

A sultry, luxurious living room scheme, featuring a careful balance of punchy reds, earthy greens and subtle blues. The irresistible (to me anyway!) Tiger rug by Sister (@studioashby) really pulls the room together whilst amping up the character 🐅. And the bronze Orta wall lights from @lightsandlampsdotcom are just 🤌🏼🤌🏼 pitch perfect.

I designed this room to be a calm but indulgent retreat from the rest of client’s lively household. I hope you agree this feels like a good place to escape to!

Tiger rug by Sister (@studioashby) really pulls the room together whilst amping up the character 🐅. And the bronze Orta wall lights from @lightsandlampsdotcom are just 🤌🏼🤌🏼 pitch perfect.

I designed this room to be a calm but indulgent retreat from the rest of client’s lively household. I hope you agree this feels like a good place to escape to!

Le Grande Pigalle Hotel a Paris 🔑

Designed by hotel interiors legend @dorotheemeilichzon to embody French style and featuring Art Deco influences, as well her signature bold patterns and lotssssss of gold.

It was the perfect escape from the busy streets but there was no denying we were in Paris - with the wrap around balcony and even a tiny glimpse of the Sacre Couer 💘

It was utterly freezing and really quite rainy but the city still worked its magic ✨

While there I came across @thesocialitefamily, an insanely chic, timeless but still cool collection of furniture and lighting. It also happens to be beside the fabulous @sezane Apartment, in the 2nd arr. Had to be dragged away 🌝

I visited the beautiful @nkukulife pop up showroom in Shoreditch this week, to preview their new collection. The team talked us through the new products over drinks and nibbles - the dream!

My favourite new product was the Aamani mango wood & cord low ‘Occasional’ chair, £495. Amazingly the woven cord is made from recycled paper dipped in wax, in keeping with nkuku’s sustainable approach to furniture making.

Another stand out piece was their Mendani mango wood & fluted glass cabinet, £695, which felt luxurious and purposeful. It’s meant for the bathroom but would work well as a small sideboard or for chic hallway storage.

The new collection will be available online from end of Jan!

The mix of Cotswolds limestone, rustic antiques, lots of rugs, lamps and of course fires, it was all so cosy and the perfect place to relax in between Christmas and New Year.

This Twixmas I went to the Cotswolds for the first time. I’ve taken a million pictures of beautiful (and slightly more authentic!) countryside decor which I’ll share soon but first? The infamous @daylesfordfarm.

I managed to capture a few areas in the few hours we were there but it’s honestly like a mini village in itself, with several restaurants, a spa/fitness/wellness/beauty barn, a garden centre, cookery school, and a massive interiors space not to mention the original farm shop. I could have spent the whole day there if I didn’t need to get the hire car back to London! There are even cottages to stay on-site…

It was expensive of course (those vases were £600+!) but very luxe and everything was done to a high standard. I won’t be stocking up here but it definitely lived up to its reputation and I would recommend a visit. It’s a lifestyle darling!

A house swap straight out of The Holiday 🎄

My brother’s family (temporarily!) switched their cosy London flat for a home in Bath and safe to say there was enough room for me to tag along.

The house has been beautifully restored from top to bottom, with joyful colour combos, clashing patterns, lamps for days and still managing to retain tonnes of Georgian charm. Happy to confirm the view from the epic green roll top bath is as good as it looks.

I wish I could credit the designer as it really is one of my faves. Obsessed ✅

We used a few of the spaces but my favourite was Yopo, their mesmerising pink mescal bar 💘 the colourful art and rough plaster on the walls brought me straight back to Mexico 🇲🇽

It’s so easy to ignore the hallway and focus on the ‘real rooms’ but after a few small tweaks, this space makes me relax as soon as I walk through the door 👌🏼

Also have to shoutout the painting, ‘Windows In The West’. It’s a classic Glaswegian scene and nearly every member of my family has it hanging somewhere in their house!
